I have used the manual process behind the rear seat to try to put the top back up but the roof stops 6-8 inches from the windshield but will not go any farther, even using the hex key in the front. WebAug 29, 2024 · Once you the mechanism will be free and so will the cover. At this point I put the top down and close the cover. I then go back to the trunk and torque down on the mechanism using an Allen key and once I have it down I push the motor in and it locks it in place. VERY IMPORTANT!!!!
